The short version

PapaGaio has no ads and sells nothing to anyone. Everything stored is there to teach you a language or to see which pages get used.

Website

• Your translation history is stored only in your browser (localStorage). We never see it.
• Text you translate is sent to our server and forwarded to Groq (US) for processing. It is not stored on our side.
• A daily request counter per IP address exists purely to prevent abuse; it holds no content.

Analytics

• Cloudflare Web Analytics runs always: page counts with no cookies and no cross-site tracking.
• Google Analytics loads only if you press Allow on the banner. Decline and the script is never fetched. Your choice is remembered in your browser; clear site data to be asked again.

Telegram bot

• We store your Telegram user id, first name, learning progress and the cards you add. This is the product.
• Voice messages are transcribed by Groq (US) and are not kept after transcription.
• Dialog sessions with the AI coach keep only the recent turns needed for context, and are deleted at /stop.

Third parties

• Cloudflare — hosting and database.
• Groq — translation, dialog and speech recognition.
• Microsoft Edge TTS — audio synthesis (receives only the text to be spoken).
